PRIME is a program of the Small Business Administration that offers free help to new and small businesses to help them grow and succeed. The nonprofit International Institute of Boston (IIB) is offering PRIME in 2009 – 2010, and perhaps beyond. Savings for Success

If you are an immigrant, a refugee or approved political asylee and interested in saving for a new home, small business, education, or computer, you may be eligible for IIB’s Savings for Success program.
Savings for Success provides:
• Matched savings accounts--$2 for every $1 that you save at Citizens Bank (up to $2,000 for single people and $4,000 for families)
• Workshops on how to best manage your money in the United States
• One-on-one meetings with IIB staff

Bridges to Business

If you are a refugee or approved political asylee and would like to build or expand your business, Bridges to Business can help you better understand American business practices.
We provide:
• Expert small business counseling
• Small business loans up to $15,000
• Assistance navigating bureaucracies
• Referrals to other business resources

Home Buying Services

First-time Home Buying Classes
Homebuying 101 is an 10-hour course that helps you to purchase your first home. Classes are conducted in Haitian Creole and ESL, and are provided at convenient locations in Mattapan, Chinatown, Dorchester, and Downtown Boston. “Certificates of Completion” that provide $500 or more in closing cost assistance and eligibility for special mortgage programs to help clients buy their first home
