Program Offerings
In order to maximize client comfort and service effectiveness, services are provided at IIB offices in downtown Boston, in clients' homes, and as accompaniment to local offices, courts and agencies. Program goals include provision of initial crises intervention and case management, provision of longer-term mental health and case management services to clients who require services beyond the initial crisis intervention and reduction of social isolation among clients.
Each client receives a thorough intake by a social worker who then maps out a service plan for the client. A team of advocates is then assigned to the case based on language capacity and case needs. In addition, clients have on-site access to psychiatric counseling. Counselors can gain immediate immigration and family law consultation within our agency, to provide necessary information to clients concerning their status. IIB provides direct assistance to mitigate clients’ trauma and help individuals take control of their lives in order to become productive, self-sufficient members of the community.
